  • Speed and point increase power-ups have beed added.
  • Snake growth rate has been decreased by 50% to accommodate the pickup item power-up and allow players to play longer and acquire higher scores.
  • A new controller mode has been added with left and right handed variations. Use your thumb to create a pivot point on one side of the screen created, you can then drag your thumb around that point to turn your snake. The other half of the screen will enable your boost.

  • New accessory and detail skins have been added

  • Two new maps have been added, Desert and Molten Planet.
  • There are now three planets per map. Jumpers have been added to each planet in order for players to move from one planet to another.
  • The scoreboard has been updated such that snake names are color-coded to reflect the planet they currently reside on.
  • The number of players per game has been increased from 10 to 16.
  • Snake boost glow has a new effect
  • An option to show approximate player positions has been added to game settings.

  • You can now phase through yourself for 10 seconds before solidifying and crashing. Phase time restores after leaving phase mode for 5 seconds. A phase meter has been added to the UI to display these values.
  • Players are now invulnerable when falling from the sky and for an additional 5 seconds after landing. When a player is invulnerable they cannot be eliminated and may freely pass through other snake.
  • Additional logic has been added to prevent players from falling through the planets.

  • Name change! Sn4k3z! is now Super Snake Universe!
  • The leaderboard has been set to a weekly cycle, resetting at 00:00 UTC Sunday night/Monday morning. Insignias are now awarded based on where players finish for the week.
  • The title screen now has a ticker that will display information about the past week's leaderboard winner and other news in the future.
  • The top ranked player can write custom messages into the news ticker for everyone to see throughout the week!

  This release contains client-side networking updates in effort to improve the online playing experience, including improved movement prediction for players with higher latencies and more accurate placement of lag-compensated snake head hit-boxes. There is an additional bug fix for bot snakes getting stuck in the air after the initial player in the room died.
